The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas Tampa

I just had the most amazing stay at this hotel! Everything was spotless and well-maintained, creating a super inviting atmosphere. The rooms were so spacious and cozy. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It was an absolutely wonderful experience!

The Godfrey offers a truly unforgettable retreat. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a breathtaking view of Tampa's Rocky Point island. The rooms were not just comfortable but elegantly designed, with every detail meticulously thought out to ensure maximum comfort and relaxation. Waking up to the sound of gentle waves and the sight of the sunrise from our balcony was nothing short of magical. The staff went above and beyond to cater to our every need. Their attention to detail and genuine care made us feel pampered throughout our stay. Outdoor seating and umbrellas were plentiful, offering a comfortable spot to relax and soak up the sun. Overall, The Godfrey exceeded our expectations in every way possible. It's not just a place to stay; it's a destination where luxury meets tranquility. We can't wait to return and create more unforgettable memories in this slice of paradise!

Had a great time on a recent trip with my family. In laws booked so we could celebrate a birthday. Rooms were a bit old but extremely clean and well appointed. Really enjoyed the pool area and seating for great relaxation by the pool. The security guard Mikey was extremely helpful with tips on where to go and things to do. Went above and beyond. Will stay again when I book my birthday for everyone.

The rooms were clean and the location is great. However, the beds and pillows weren't comfortable and none of us got us got a great night's sleep. Also, keep in mind, if you'd stay here, the hotel next door has very loud live entertainment/karaoke that can be heard late into the night. If you have young kids get a room facing the city, not the water.

It's not bad! I booked through hotels dot com, and reviews there were good. I saw the reviews here and got really worried. However, the rooms are not nearly as bad as what they were made out to be. Yes, the hotel is old. Yes, there has been some remodeling and like a lot of hastily done remodels, they seem to have cut a few corners. But the hotel room was clean, there is no weird smell, the sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean, nothing was falling apart. Our room had a mini fridge and a Keurig. There was waterfront balcony with lovely views. The hotel staff was nice, professional and accommodating. I would definitely stay again. Maybe not the best place for family vacation with small children, but great for older kids and couples.

The front desk people were very nice! We had a bad stay and canceled the remaining nights at the previous hotel to come here. They made us feel taken care of! Room was clean although the hallway and elevators need vacuumed. View was beautiful and bar was cool! Love the light up night pool! It’s definitely a deal considering the location and price! Was quiet with clean room & no bad smells or bugs.

I stayed at the Godfrey about 2 weeks ago and I had a great time. The view from my room was beautiful and my room was very clean every time I came back to it. I also love the hotels pool. It was very relaxing and had great time. I met this great security guard Mikey and he made me feel welcome I will definitely be back.

This place was absolutely amazing! The location is everything—the beach views are unbeatable and create the perfect atmosphere. The food was a 10/10, and every part of the experience was worth it. I can’t wait for them to reopen because this is definitely a spot I’ll be returning to. Highly recommend!
